Dengue alert in six districts in state
Bhubaneswar/Cuttuck: State Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik on Wednesday instructed collectors to intensify it`s sanitation & preventive measure because of dengue outbreak in the state assumes alarming proportions spreading to nine districts.
As tested by doctor out of 121 resulted 33 persons tested positive for dengue today. In Cuttuck 20 new cases reported on Wednesday, Angul- four, Ganjam- two, Bhadrak, Balasore, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur & Khurda -one new case each.
Naveen Pattnaik held discussions with the collectors for the dengue affected districts through video conferencing and instructed them to spread an awareness generation at the community level for curing the disease of dengue.
Chief Minister also said that the dengue patient will be provided free treatment at the Government hospitals along with free ICU services . Naveen Pattnaik also directed the SCB Medical authorities to increase the number of beds for dengue patients. The hospital presently has 50 beds in ward which is likely to increase to 150 upon the instruction given by SCB authorities.
Cuttuck collector Girish SN continued his door-to-door visit in the worst affected ward and also creating awareness in among the people on preventive measures of dengue.
